Jason Carthen Ph.D.

Dr. Jason Carthen knows versatility. He knows heart, he knows teamwork and he is the embodiment of passion. As a former professional football player with the New England Patriots, he is a highly sought-after international speaker in the areas of leadership, business and identifying your purpose in life.

He has served for over eighteen years in both the public and private sectors of Leadership and Business Management, specifically with the National Football League’s Player’s Association, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He speaks and writes frequently as an expert on the topic of Leadership and its impact upon followers. As a visionary, scholar, and author, Dr. Carthen is a distinguished Fellow in the Beta Phi academic literary society and has researched and published in the areas of Business, Positive Psychology, and Leadership within Organizational Frameworks.

Sensing a call to positively impact those in the community, Dr. Carthen founded The Leaders of Tomorrow Initiative©. The L.O.T. Initiative is a non-profit organization focusing upon equipping the next generation of society’s leaders for life’s possibilities. As founder and president, Dr. Carthen oversees the L.O.T Initiative’s Family, Education and Community focused initiatives.

Dr. Carthen has consulted with Fortune 500 companies and Fortune 100 Companies to provide quality training & coaching while helping team members identify their true purpose in life. He has consulted with Local, State and the Federal Government to provide Grant focused initiatives and implemented Leadership Development Initiatives with Metropolitan Housing Authorities.

 He is often invited as an expert to share his insight and opinion on the climate of business and leadership. He has appeared on networks such as ESPN, and NBC. Among his other external activities, Dr. Carthen serves on the faculty of Bethel University in the areas of Management and Leadership studies. He is an advisory board member for Kent State University.

 He has been featured on the Trinity Broadcasting Network for his Philanthropic work with The Leaders of Tomorrow Initiative and his commitment to education. He has also been featured in Vim and Vigor Magazine. He regularly hosts the television show on WDLI “Joy in our Town” which highlights social issues that impact our world.

Dr. Carthen received his Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, his Master’s degree from Malone University, his Business Management Certification from the Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio University.
